Watching all the little water droplets fly away as I’m driving down the road gives me the need, THE NEED...TO HAVE A VERY HIGH VELOCITY.
It also doesn’t help that I’m driving a loud manual car that smells like gas.
(not my picture of couse)

I always like to use some kind of rain repellent on my car. I’ve heard that car wax is just as good, but I’ve been afraid to try something that wasn’t “specifically formulated” for glass.
So, I figured my beater truck was as good an opportunity as anything to test it out. I put some Meguiar’s wax on its windshield yesterday, and it does indeed repel water quite well. We’ll see how it holds up.

I’ve used the meguiers paste was on the windows too. Clay them first, and it lasts a bit longer than the rainx.

I wish I’d have thought of that. I happen to have a clay bar kit laying around, too. At least I prepped the surface with a razor blade and a thorough cleaning before the wax application. New wiper blades and water-repelling washer fluid were added at the same time as well.

Rain X is good but NEVER EVER ever! Have rain x on your glass is you plan to drag race or something that requires using shoe polish or window paint. 1) it's nearly impossible to write because it will bead and 2) once you do get it on your going to have to razor blade it off

It’s crazy, even in the summer all the clay pulls of the windows is bright green. Microscopic plants starting:).
